About me

I am widowed 5 years now after 35 years married to a Chinese Canadian woman and we were dating in high school so I think it is safe to say I am a 1 woman man.I was an ocean going tug boat Captain for 40 years with the same international company and I am retired now at 59. I am definitely a family man and have a son 30 and daughter 27, both are married and have their own homes and careers.So with an empty nest and an empty heart I am more than ready to find love again,hopefully for 1 last time.Friends and family have tried setting me up on dates but unfortunately most western women are too self absorbed for me.I am used to a woman with traditional family values but also a modern style. I have been to Thailand many times as myself and all my family are scuba divers we fell in love with all your islands and especially in the Andaman Sea with all it's Marine Sanctuaries, and reefs.I have been diving for more than 40 years and am certified Dive Master and Instructor. I am also a romantic,I love dining out or cooking at home,dancing,the ocean and all nature,experiencing new cultures and customs through travel.Really at this point in my life I just want to be Happy I am healthy, fit,energetic and adventurous.
