About me

I live 40 kilometres out, over a low range of hills, from the outer edge of the closely packed suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. After a previous many years working in the Automotive Parts business, I was retired from work 18 years ago, partly from a change in my job in Administration at a Hospital and partly for medical reasons of stress and a back condition. After that and the death of my father, I decided to move out to where I could live nearer the trees and the unspoilt country. So now I live alone (I did have a dog but she died 2 years ago) in my modest own house. It is a quite new and as yet unfinished house and yard. I lost the previous one in a huge bushfire on February 7th 2009. I've had the replacement house for over a year now. But it was never fully completed, fitted out and furnished. So that is what I do with my days. And when a bit better organised, I would like to get into some volunteer community work. But I do spend a bit of time looking for a friend, a partner, even a lover, so that I can have a happier life in good company. I have been married for 10 years but we found out we did not fit in the longer term. We did not have children and I have virtually no other family here. So I look and hope for someone to share life with.
